This Privacy Policy explains what information Polanthos collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. ## 1. Summary Polanthos is designed to collect as little information as possible. Polanthos does not operate its own backend server. The apps or categories you choose to protect, along with your app configuration, are stored locally on your device and are used to provide the app’s core functionality. They are not sold, used for advertising, or sent to a Polanthos server. Polanthos uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and purchase access. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. ## 2. Information We Collect ### Protected app selections and app configuration Polanthos may let you choose apps, categories, or settings to protect or manage. This information is used to provide Polanthos’s core functionality. Polanthos does not operate its own backend server. Unless a future version clearly states otherwise, protected app selections and app configuration are stored locally on your device and are not sent to a Polanthos server. ### Subscription and purchase information Polanthos uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions, purchase status, and access to paid features. RevenueCat may process purchase-related information such as: * Subscription status * Product purchased * Renewal status * Cancellation status * Refund status, when applicable * App user identifier or anonymous purchase identifier * Store transaction information needed to validate purchases Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Polanthos does not receive or store your full payment card information. ### Diagnostics and technical information Depending on your device settings, iOS settings, Apple services, and App Store tools, crash logs or diagnostics may be made available to help identify and fix technical issues. ## 3. Information We Do Not Collect Polanthos does not operate its own backend server. Polanthos can show a live front-camera view during an intervention pause ("mirror mode"). The camera feed is shown on-screen only — it is not recorded, stored, or transmitted, and never leaves your device. Camera access is optional and used only while a pause is on screen. Polanthos does not use third-party advertising. Polanthos does not sell your personal information. Polanthos does not use third-party tracking for advertising purposes. Polanthos does not collect your full payment card information. If Polanthos does not require account creation, Polanthos does not collect account login information such as an email address or password inside the app. ## 4. How We Use Information We use information only to: * Provide and operate Polanthos * Apply your local app protection settings * Manage subscription access * Restore purchases * Maintain purchase records * Improve reliability and fix technical issues * Comply with App Store, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements ## 5. Third-Party Services and Links Polanthos uses RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat helps verify purchases, manage entitlements, determine whether a subscription is active, and support subscription-related customer service. Apple processes App Store payments and manages App Store subscriptions. Polanthos may include links to third-party or external services, including YouTube for instructional content and iCloud/Apple Shortcuts links for shortcut installation or setup. When you open an external link, the linked service may collect information according to its own privacy practices. Polanthos does not control YouTube, iCloud, Apple Shortcuts, Safari, or other external services. RevenueCat’s, Apple’s, YouTube’s, and other third-party services’ handling of information is governed by their own privacy practices and terms. ## 6. Data Sharing We may share limited information with service providers only as needed to operate the app. This includes RevenueCat for subscription management and Apple for App Store purchase processing. We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-app advertising tracking. ## 7. Data Retention Information stored locally on your device may remain there until you delete it, reset the app, change your settings, or uninstall the app, subject to iOS behavior and any backups you control. Subscription-related records may be retained by RevenueCat, Apple, or us as needed to provide access, support purchase restoration, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and maintain business records. ## 8. Children’s Privacy Polanthos is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Polanthos, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it. ## 9. Your Choices You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings. You can remove locally stored app data by changing your settings in Polanthos, resetting the app where available, or deleting the app from your device, subject to iOS behavior and any backups you control.
